“As I seek to find my identity and strive to make a mark amidst my surroundings, I lose myself and blend into the colours around me, merging with them as one.”

Karishma Wadhwa is a Mumbai based professional artist born and bought up in Chennai. Her work has evolved over the years from figuratives to abstracts. She has dabbled in various mediums ranging from acrylics, and water colours to oil. Colours play an important role in her paintings, each colour having a distinct significance. Her signature collection of paintings “Opus” are an abstract representation of cityscapes. Opus simply means compositions set on a large scale. Opus draws inspiration from her travels across the world. She envisages cities in their unique character through her play of forms & colours. Depicted through a vista of structures, the cityscape visualizes a sense of belonging, hope, dreams and ambitions. Enveloped in colours, Opus is a personal process and it invites the viewers to experience and interpret it, in relation to their own journey
